If your question hasn't been answered here then please feel free to get in contact, we'd love to hear from you!

Who can take part in Odyssey projects?

Odyssey is aimed at 18-30 year olds who are keen to continue playing their instruments at a high level. These might be people starting off their music careers or young professionals who want to keep their playing up. Our auditions are entirely based on merit and whether you attend music college or not will not affect your position. We are really happy to accept people from a huge range of backgrounds and we think that having a big mix of people is part of what makes Odyssey special.

How can I take part in Odyssey projects?

We typically run three projects a year, usually in September, January and May, and have rolling online auditions. You don't have to be available for all the concert as we do them on a project-by-project basis. Check out our audition information here!

3

Do I have to pay to be part of the orchestra?

We are committed to ensuring that no one should have to pay for the experience of playing in Odyssey. This is due to our strong values of inclusivity and accessibility. We firmly believe that music is for everyone.

4

Where and when does the orchestra rehearse?

Odyssey's rehearsals usually take place on the three weekends before the concert with an extra rehearsal the evening before the concert. This means that members who work full-time jobs are able to take part. The rehearsal venues vary but are based in south London and are always within walking distance of a tube stop. More information is available on our auditions and rehearsal dates pages.
